PART-TIME/WEEKEND LOAN OFFICER ASSISTANT NEEDED! EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

We are looking for a one of a kind person. This is a part-time, weekend position. If you are experienced in lending but don't want to work full time this is for you. We love our team, they work very hard but need to take time off to recover. When they do, we need someone special to watch our backs and support our referral partners and clients on the weekends. This person would also be asked to step in, on occasion (pre-scheduled) to support on weeks when staff is on vacation.

This position requires experience in lending, investor guidelines, income, asset and credit reviews, talking to consumers and realtors as well as interfacing with loan officers and other office staff. We ask that you be available (Via Zoom) on occasion for pre-planned meetings during regular business hours, but allow you the flexibility to work weekends and additional hours as you see fit! This position will have an "on-call" component that will be compensated at a flat rate for the days you are on call, PLUS hourly.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor sales pipeline, meet sales expectations, get referrals, and generate new business opportunities
  • Create personal relationships with loan applicants - offer additional information and answer questions about home mortgage products
  • Interface between loan processor, senior loan officer/ mortgage loan originator, underwriter, mortgage lender or mortgage banker, and realtors on behalf of the applicant as needed to ensure a successful loan transaction
  • Review options with senior loan officer/ MLO to make a recommendation of which home loan product to recommend based on the applicant’s financial status
  • Gather financial information to assist with loan applications, prepare loan files, and assess applicants’ financial situation and eligibility
Qualifications
  • Possess the intention to complete a training program to obtain NMLS/ MLO/ state license
  • Experience in real estate, lending institutions, credit unions, financial services, or related fields is desired, but not required
  • Knowledge of guidelines for loan programs and various types of loans such as FHA, commercial loans, VA, etc is an asset, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but a high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Excellent sales, relationship, communications and MS Office skills are vital
Compensation
$20 - $22 hourly
