We are seeking a 3L law student who has excellent academic and writing credentials, who is passionate about this area of the law.

The applicant must have First Amendment experience through clinic work in a First Amendment clinic or law firm experience.

You must be a proficient writer and an academically superior student who has a demonstrated ability to write, research and interface with our client base. We are seeking applicants who have excelled in law school and who can demonstrate excellent writing and research skills and who is available to work 20+ hours per week.

• Keep files organized to make sure the most recent information is accurate and deadlines and docketed properly
• Draft legal memoranda with results of research in order to assist with the strategy for court proceedings
• Outline the first iteration of legal documents for attorney review, especially pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests/responses
• Conduct legal research to confirm cited legal authority for judges and attorneys
• Communicate with clients, interview witnesses, and consult legal experts in order to prepare for trial

• Display attention to detail and strong work ethic
• Must have great writing skills and effective communication skills to participate in oral arguments effectively
• Recent law school graduate or current law school student with an undergraduate degree
• At least one year of experience in working in the legal field
