Responsibilities
- Exemplifies the REMIGERDESIGN mission and core values daily
- Working knowledge of the scope of work, project deliverables, overall project schedules and phases, hours to complete tasks
- Responsible for and communicates own schedule throughout the week to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Leads programming efforts such as programming questionnaires and surveys, along with reviews of necessary research, site surveys, and documentation through field verification
- Develops and reviews conceptual plans, test fits, and schematic plans for conceptual/schematic design phases
- Proposes solutions to technical and design problems and follows through until resolved
- Takes responsibility for the selection and specification of finishes/materials, furniture, lighting, and artwork, as well as reviews selections of others
- Prepares and reviews presentation and production drawings during design development phases, including 2D and 3D rendered concepts
- Contributes, reviews, and coordinates with the client, contractor, and internal design team to develop construction documents, including plans, elevations, details, and specifications, following established standards
- Working knowledge of computer-aided drawing and modeling, presentation tools, and basic office software to establish technical expertise
- Assists in soliciting bids with the project leader and/or Managing Principal and client
- Coordinates with dealers, manufacturers, project engineers, and consultants to meet client and project goals
- Monitors construction progress and verifies that what has been built or installed complies with building plans, code standards, and project deadlines
- Reports progress and scheduling of various stages of the project to the Managing Principals on an ongoing basis
- At times or as needed, maintains the upkeep of the resource library and materials, including coordination with the resource librarian and relationship with sales representatives
- Attends sales representative meetings to understand materials and new products
- Prepares finishes/materials and files for dead filing of projects that are complete
- Supports business development activities through assistance with InDesign documents and PowerPoint presentations, including proposal materials for potential, new or existing clients
- Completes time sheet and expense report in a timely and ethical manner
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design or Architecture
- Requires 5-8 years of experience on Commercial Interiors projects
- Actively pursuing professional credentials (NCIDQ certification) or certified, preferred
- Working knowledge of design, trends, and construction methodology
- Working knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in producing technical plans, drawings, and BIM models
- Prior experience and working knowledge of Revit and Lumion and/or Enscape
- Prior experience and working knowledge of Adobe Cloud Services, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Working knowledge of furniture, fixture, and equipment (FF&E), interior finishes, lighting, art, and signage
- Working knowledge of building regulations and codes
- Results-oriented with the ability to effectively meet deadlines

Compensation
$60,000 - $80,000
