This will probably be the longest, most honest, and detailed employment ad you will ever read. At Bardley McKnight Law, we put a lot of time and thought into hiring because we take welcoming a new employee to our team very seriously. We want to be completely transparent about who we are and what we expect so we don’t waste your time and you don’t waste ours. Every team member must be a good fit for the Firm. If you are up for a challenging position that is as demanding as it is rewarding, please continue reading the rest of this ad. We look forward to receiving your Resume and Cover Letter.

We are a small family law firm in the metro Atlanta area. We are a semi-remote firm with a physical office located in Douglasville. We are a highly respected firm with a reputation for caring for our clients, performing at a high level, and delivering exceptional results. We are a rapidly-growing firm that is committed to excellence and we are looking for an experienced Intake Specialist.

What does our Intake Specialist do?

Our Intake Specialist is an integral member of our legal team. The primary function of our Intake Specialist is to screen and pre-qualify potential new clients and to schedule them for consultations.

Our Intake Specialist is responsible for checking for conflicts of interest; scheduling initial consultations; initiating the Firm’s pre-engagement glide path; ensuring all leads are properly directed through the intake funnel; follow up with potential new clients who do not engage the Firm during the initial consultation; following up periodically with existing clients, alumni clients, and referral sources; and preparing reports.

What are some characteristics that our Intake Specialist should have?

Our Intake Specialist must possess a positive attitude, exceptional communication skills, and be able to listen with an understanding ear. Our Intake Specialist must be comfortable using technology, accustomed to high standards, able to follow procedures, and able to adhere to well-defined policies. Our Intake Specialist must also be a responsible and dependable self-starter who is able to critically think and problem solve.

Prior customer service experience is required, appreciated, and valued, but personality, character, intelligence, and integrity will be paramount considerations. Our Intake Specialist must be able to empathize with potential new clients and must be able to stay calm and gather information, even when the potential new client is upset.

You must be a quick learner and able to use technology. Experience working at a law firm and using a CRM is a plus, however, experience with data tracking and reporting is required. We want people who are not afraid of computers or learning new things that will make their job easier.

You must be a team player. You will be working with other team members to deliver an outstanding experience for clients. You must respect, appreciate, and understand how we work together internally has a direct impact on how we are perceived externally.

We expect every team member to give us 100% when you are at work. If you are not lazy, show up to work on time, stay off your phone, take limited breaks during the work-day, this is the job for you.

You MUST be able to multi-task, think on your feet, and make smart decisions.

If you have gotten this far, you are truly an exceptional person, as most people would have stopped reading this ad a long time ago.
