The Intake Coordinator will be client-interfacing and will serve as the first point of contact for our clients. The Intake Coordinator will be entrusted with front-office client care and providing a memorable client experience.

Responsibilities
- Performs all front office duties including checking in patients, ensuring completion of all necessary forms for registration, collecting copays, assisting patients when needed, and answering phones
- Providing scheduling support to clinicians
- Creates new and follow-up appointments as needed for patients
- Maintaining cleanliness of the waiting room and restroom
- Communicating schedule changes, messages, and client issues to practice staff
- Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal regulations as determined by relevant regulatory bodies and the law
- Communicate effectively with office management, peers, and clinicians
- Carry out directives affecting patient care
- Maintain necessary records and documentation according to in-house policies
Qualifications
- Experience working in a medical office
- Experience handling and collecting money
- Knowledge and experience applying HIPAA and confidentiality
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Team focus
- Experienced using internet-based software
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Previous customer service skills
- Strong organizational and prioritizing skills
- Demonstrated initiative

Compensation
$17 hourly

Based in Shavano Park and founded in 2011, AMA Behavioral Therapy began providing treatment to San Antonio, Texas and gradually extended treatment to all of Texas. Today, AMA Behavioral Therapy provides treatment with specialties in anxiety-based disorders such as OCD and PTSD.
