Responsibilities
- Remain updated on insurance industry changes and protocols to fulfill all policy requirements and monitor insurance claims from start to finish
- Update bookkeeping systems, customer records, and sales databases to report your monthly and/or quarterly progress to goals to stakeholders
- Spend time listening to new and potential clients, assess their priorities and finances, and determine suitable insurance plan options that successfully meet their individual insurance needs
- Create tailored risk management strategies directly with clients that align with their risk profiles
- Implement sales strategies and tactics proven effective in maintaining and growing existing customer portfolios comprised of loyal, long-term clients
- Assist in implementing marketing strategies and tactics to grow existing customer portfolios comprised of loyal, long-term clients and develop metrics to determine their effectiveness
- Assist in implementing marketing strategies and tactics to find and develop new prospects and to convert prospects into new customers
- Contact new and potential clients by outbound phone calls, emails, and texts, establish a rapport and relationship, and present insurance plan options tailored to their individual circumstances
- Ensure sales data is properly reported and prospect and customer records are properly maintained and updated to assist in your tasks as a Licensed Sales Professional
- Continue your professional education on evolving insurance industry protocols to adequately fulfill all policy requirements and continue your personal development
Qualifications
- Experience with accounting and or sales lead software is a plus
- Proven understanding of the insurance industry including insurance products, risk management and any state and federal regulations
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, customer service skills, and analytical skills are required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required
- Insurance license required
- Experience with customer databases and sales lead software is a plus
- Experience with outbound calling
- Must be able to work independently toward meeting sales goals
- Candidates should have basic computer skills and be able to use Microsoft Office programs
- Proven understanding of the insurance industry including insurance products, risk management, and any state and federal regulations
- Job seekers must have an insurance license
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required
