Responsibilities

An Associate is crucial in helping our clients acquire the insurance coverage that they need in order to keep their businesses running smoothly. This is where it starts and where it ends is up to you.

You will be trained on all of the concepts and terms and processes required to fulfill our promise to our clients. The role requires you to possess project management and communication skills in order to meet customer service demands. Self-disciplined follow-through is required to ensure tasks are completed in accordance with account team/client demands and in accordance with quality and procedural standards. Our team-based environment is fast-paced, fun, and exciting and requires collaboration and a supportive approach. As a support professional, you will help develop and execute client service tasks by working with Client Executives and Sales.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow department quality and work product guidelines based on office training
  • Once trained, a thorough understanding and use of the EPIC agency management system
  • Once trained, thorough understanding and use of insurance company online rating and policy administration platforms
  • Commitment to building a foundation of understanding of all P&C lines of coverage
  • Client contact for day-to-day issues, issue certificates of insurance, process change requests, follow up tasks for underwriting information, application prep, and invoicing all policies and endorsements.
  • Better than average understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and responsibility for helping prepare proposals
  • Liaison with Accounting and the Client on invoicing and payment issues
  • Commitment to ongoing professional education

Qualifications

  • Ability to commute to Harrison office 2-5 days per week
  • Interest and ambition to learn and master the concepts of Commercial Insurance
  • Honesty and loyalty to your colleagues and your teammates
  • Care for our clients and an interest in helping to solve their problems and make their lives better
