We are seeking an experienced and dedicated personal lines account manager to join our service team. We are truly a team at our independent agency. Members regularly help each other both in knowledge and in tasks. Commitment to insurance knowledge and education as well as a high level of integrity is essential. We believe in taking on the role of an insurance advisor to clients rather than just an insurance provider. We never want them to be sorry that we are their agent.

We have a family atmosphere at our agency of 10 with lots of laughs combined with lots of hard work. Collaboration is solicited by management in both procedures and in decision-making. We are adopting a great deal of technology into our processes and procedures for our clients' convenience while continuing to prioritize our personal relationship with our clients by always having a real person answer the phone. Our ideal candidate will be able to develop personal relationships with clients and offer sound advice on coverages, including recommending new coverages and policies as needed by the client for exceptional protection.

Responsibilities

  • Manage our personal lines book of business
  • Develop relationships with individual clients
  • Be able to give sound advice on personal lines coverages to clients
  • Ability to learn differences in coverages from multiple carriers and be able to explain them to our client
  • Quote new business and renewals and present best options to clients either on a phone or video call.
  • Work with producers to provide quotes to clients they are working with
  • Reach out to clients at renewal and obtain updated information

Qualifications

  • Good email and phone etiquette, including ability to be kind and caring over the phone
  • A servant attitude toward clients and peers
  • Experience and education in personal lines coverages
  • Self-motivated to complete tasks without management's constant oversight
  • Ability to see areas of our service that needs improvement and suggest solutions
  • Organizational skills in managing emails and workload, including ability to prioritize
  • Willingness to take on any tasks needed to help the agency and others
  • Well-honed computer skills

Compensation
$40,000 - $48,000 (DOE)

We have aggressively implemented technology in the last 4 years but are still committed to answering our phones with a live person.
