The Instructional Designer will be responsible for creating effective learning experiences for legal professionals. This role will work closely with subject matter experts to design and develop engaging courses that meet legal education requirements and enhance the overall training experience. The Legal Instructional Designer will use instructional design methodologies and technologies to create high-quality instructional materials.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop learning objectives, design courses, and create instructional materials
- Utilize instructional design principles and methodologies to design, develop, and deliver effective and engaging legal courses
- Develop and implement assessment strategies to measure learning outcomes and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs
- Work with multimedia specialists to develop interactive and engaging learning materials, such as videos, simulations, and e-learning modules
- Keep up-to-date with instructional design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the legal education field
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize workloads, and meet project deadlines
- Provide training and support to legal instructors and trainers on the effective use of instructional materials
- Maintain records of legal instructional design projects and associated documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design
- Knowledge of instructional design principles, theories, and methodologies applicable to legal education
- Proficiency in using e-learning authoring tools such as iSpring Suite
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other technologies used in legal training and development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
