Our ideal candidate has previous work experience but is not required. Blast It Clean is looking for individuals who are eager to learn and interested in career growth. Must be willing to relocate. You will be working with a team on fixed-based projects locally out of our Kansas City, Missouri location.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding
- Clean up work area once project is finished
- Mix paint or stains to customer’s specification
- Talk with clients to understand their needs and help them make the best decision
- Assemble scaffolding when required
- Cover trim, fixtures, furniture, and floors to protect them from paint
- Apply primer or sealers to paint surfaces
- Working indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions as needed
- Working in confined spaces and from heights and lifts as part of the job
- Working around chemicals and other hazardous material
- May be asked to work evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays depending on client needs or needs of the business
- Overtime available
- May be asked to travel out of town (Blast It Clean will provide transportation, lodging, and per diem)
- Must be able to lift 100 pounds or more
- Must comply with all safety regulations on site
- Must be able to follow instructions, receptive to constructive criticism, and be a team player
- Must be able to arrive at work on time and be punctual
- Knowledge of basic painting materials and tools is preferred, but we will provide training
- Physical strength, stamina to stand for long periods of time, and dexterity is required
- Strong communication skills, time management skills and attention to detail
- Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation for scheduled shifts
- Class E Driver’s License (preferred)
- DOT Certified or can obtain within 6 months of the start date
- Minimum Education: GED or higher
- The ability to run forklifts and bobcats is a plus
- Sandblasting and industrial construction experience are a plus
- The ability to pass a drug screen is a must upon employment
- Must submit a background check upon employment
- Industrial coating and commercial painting experience are a plus
