Hersha Hospitality Management (HHM) is an industry-leading hotel investment, management and development firm that provides turn-key management solutions to over 185 hotels across the United States, which includes world class brands (Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, and IHG) in the select service and full-service markets as well as a collection of over 30 independent and boutique hotels. 


HHM is seeking a People Support (HR) Coordinator to assist with portfolio-wide support for various aspects of benefits, compensation, and HRIS programs. This associate will provide tools and resources across total rewards functions for 7,000 team members in hotels and corporate offices from coast to coast.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assists with the administration of comprehensive benefits program, including medical, wellness, dental, vision, disability, life, flexible spending account, retirement and auxiliary plans
  • Audit benefit vendor invoices quarterly for accuracy and process for payment on a monthly basis
  • Build and run impact models to estimate labor costs of wage shifts for budgeting purposes
  • Stay abreast of and comply with state/local legislative compensation regulations, specifically as it relates to minimum wage and fair pay laws
  • Lead a performance-based merit increase program occurring twice annually on common review dates
  • Build marketing materials to educate employees on benefit offerings  
  • Complete special projects such as open enrollment, hotel integrations, and employee review process
  • Prepare reports and ad hoc queries for employee data contained in the HRIS in response to requests from users within People Support and from associates in other departments
  • Provide support for HRIS including, but not limited to, researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities including data entry of weekly changes to HRIS; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements
  • Input, support, and maintain data integrity all systems in the People Support function for all employees



  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred 
  • 1+ years of experience as an HR Coordinator preferred
  • Previous internship or experience in the human resources or hospitality field preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage information flow
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work on independent tasks
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and data reporting
  • Solid presentation and PowerPoint skills as well as strong organizational skills
