The Human Resources Coordinator assists with facilitating human resources processes, programs, and procedures. This role administers employee health plans and acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers. This position resolves employee and benefits-related problems and ensures effective use of plans and positive employee relations. The Human Resources Coordinator ensures that certain plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.

  • Assist with Recruitment for all posted positions including screening and communicating with applicants
  • Conduct New Hire Onboarding and Processing of New Hire Paperwork
  • Ensure all HR regulations are followed
  • Assist with facilitation and completion of annual Performance Reviews
  • Conduct annual Benefits Open Enrollment and Company Benefit liaison
  • Assist in training and coaching managers of company policies and responsibilities
  • Plan and execute monthly employee events
  • Administer Predictive Index talent optimization software to consult managers on team performance
  • Maintain New Leaf’s Organization Chart
  • Submit semi-monthly payroll and bonus manual payroll runs including reviewing and correcting when needed
  • Write Job Descriptions, post open positions, and manage positions in HRIS
  • Assist with employee counseling and being available to answer employee questions concerning benefits and HR policies
  • Attend College Recruiting fairs and recruiting events when necessary
  • Process salary increases, bonuses, promotions, and terminations
  • Plan and execute Birthday and Work Anniversary celebrations
  • Order shirts and employee business cards
  • Assemble New Hire Welcome gifts
  • Send employees flowers, Christmas cards, etc.
  • Order office supplies
  • Act as a liaison between employees and the IT company
  • Confirm new hires have computers prior to start date/computer inventory
  • Lead a quarterly book club and leadership initiatives
  • Conduct quarterly check-in on employee engagement and culture surveys
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner


Education and/or Experience   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of five years of HR experience to include recruiting, benefits administration, LOA, employee relations, HRIS/HCM and ATS administration

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • PHR or SHRM-CP credential
  • HR experience in construction or manufacturing industries
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, HRIS and other applicable software

$45,000 - $50,000 yearly
