We are searching for an organized self-starter to be our new operations/sales assistant. Responsibilities include reporting directly to the hotel general manager and assisting with the Manager's duties in their absence. You should also be well-versed in internal operations and prepare and file relevant documents.

To be successful as an operations/sales admin assistant, you should possess excellent communication skills and be able to juggle multiple tasks. Top candidates will have strong organizational, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Operations/Sales Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Manager with operational issues.
  • Schedule meetings and team-building sessions as required.
  • Promptly answer the questions of staff and other stakeholders.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain relationships with vendors.
  • Prepare and file forms and other documents.
  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Take inventory and order hotel/office supplies as needed.
  • Update logs and order forms.
  • Monitor phones and direct calls for sales inquiries and provide information as requested.
  • Correspond to customer inquiries about the hotel.
  • Assist team members in planning internal events and meetings.
  • Update manager by combining, analyzing, and forwarding daily action summaries.
  • Give potential customers tours of the facilities.
  • Present information about service options, including renting sound equipment, podiums, tables, chairs, and linens
  • Event planning assistance
  • Liaison between third-party service providers and other hotel departments.
  • Analyze all operations and forward suggestions for improvement to the Manager.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and have superb organizational skills to provide quality customer service and increase the hotel’s growth and revenue.
  • Computer data entry skills.
  • A willingness to learn.

Compensation
$40,000 yearly
