Our busy hotel is seeking an energetic, customer-oriented maintenance engineer for Local 399 to ensure that all of our visitors have an excellent experience at our property. You'll be in charge of the building's maintenance and preventative programs daily to ensure people's enjoyment, health, and safety. Must be skilled in all the trades heating and A/C, plumbing, preventative, mechanical, and electrical. This position does require troubleshooting in various areas to problem solve and find resolutions.

• Assist other technicians and engineers with a variety of maintenance tasks in a collaborative manner
• Remain on-call in case of emergencies by keeping a phone on hand
• Manage the hotel's machinery and preventive maintenance procedures
• Take care of guest complaints regarding building maintenance and troubleshoot issues
• Use a wide range of tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, indicators, edge finders, drills, wrenches, and additional equipment

• Stellar communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are needed
• Experience with facilities management software is preferred
• Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent GED

• Applicant must have a stationary engineer license and must provide upon hiring
• Must be an active 399 union member to be considered
• Must work a varied schedule which includes working 2nd and overnight shifts
• Push/pull and lifting requirements for the position upto 100lbs
