We are seeking a Housekeeper at Blind Tiger, located in Portland, ME. Working alone or with a partner, each Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms, hallways, activity areas, and public spaces on the property. Major responsibilities include servicing accommodations according to property procedures, stocking housekeeping carts, replacing bed linens, and supplying guest room amenities. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work without constant direct supervision. The ideal candidate is a cleaning enthusiast, a team player, and a highly-organized professional.
We are currently looking for F/T and P/T Housekeepers
Part-time schedule will be: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 am - 3 pm.
- Answer general questions from guests
- Manage the cleanliness of common spaces such as the hallways, public restrooms, and hotel lobby
- Track rooms cleaned and document lost and found items, damage, and repairs needed
- Vacuum, mop, make beds, dust and polish furniture, stock rooms with toiletries, and do laundry as needed
- Clean and arrange hotel rooms in accordance with our hotel’s standards prior to guest arrival
- Hard worker with strong time management, organizational, and communication skills
- At least 1 year of experience as a professional housekeeper preferred
- Experience with a variety of cleaning products and techniques
- High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
