Lark Hotels is seeking a part-time Guest Experience Associate at our upscale, boutique location in Salem, MA, The Merchant.

Our Guest Experience Associates are responsible for that very critical first impression our guests have of our properties! They demonstrate world-class hospitality in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. It's all about going above and beyond to ensure that guest experiences will be worth remembering. This key service role begins with greeting guests and ends in delivering a departure experience that makes a guest want to continue returning. This position requires an outgoing, enthusiastic personality, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work without constant direct supervision.

• Manage room bookings in-person, online, and through incoming calls, and answer inquiries about guests’ needs, including questions about available rooms, amenities, room rates, special requests, and rewards programs
• Give every guest a warm welcome, check them in, and check them out when they leave, ensuring you provide the correct keys and room numbers
• Identify and respond to guest needs creatively
• Assist with the creation and preparation of the breakfast program
• Communicate with housekeeping to make sure guest rooms are ready
• Handle customer complaints as necessary
• General bookkeeping: ensure all hotel guest account information is accurate and up-to-date

• Possesses strong customer service skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and time management skills
• At least one year of hospitality industry experience as a hotel front desk agent or similar position preferred
• Well-versed in taking telephone calls and handling stressful situations
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
