Lodge at Marconi is seeking a full-time Front Desk Agent
The front desk agents at Marconi Conference Center perform a variety of guest service activities in an exceptionally friendly, professional, and efficient manner commensurate with the demands of a world-class hotel. Registers guests, assigns rooms, settles guest accounts, and coordinates with other departments to satisfy guest requests. The position is effortful, varied, and offers the opportunity to work flexible hours and meet many new people.

Responsibilities
- Welcome and register guests in an outstanding friendly, professional, and efficient manner, assigning rooms that satisfy all special requests
- Obtain necessary credit and payment information from guest
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to satisfy guest requests
- Provide detailed information about hotel facilities and operating hours
- Sell rooms in accordance with Front Desk sales strategies
- Receive and transmit guest messages
- Perform check-out and cash-handling activities in accordance with all hotel cashiering and credit policies
- Read Group Profiles and Banquet Event information on a daily basis
- Maintain the cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
- Maintains clean and excellent condition of the Front Desk area
- Maintains proper stock of all supplies in the Front Office
- Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
- Notifies appropriate individuals and departments of any problems or unusual matters of significance
- Attends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
- Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, employees, and management
- Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times
- Complies with all hotel standards, policies, and rules
- Complies with safety regulations and procedures
- Remains current on hotel information and changes
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- General knowledge of hotel departments
- Excellent communication skills – oral and written
- Excellent guest service skills
- Knowledge of computer programs utilized in property management
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to stand and/or sit for an eight-hour shift
Compensation
$22 - $24 hourly

Marconi Conference Center is a secluded 45-room hotel and event destination perched in the hills above Tomales Bay. When first stepping foot on Marconi Historic State Park grounds it is clear that the details matter. Built in 1972, the Marconi Conference Center was originally designed by renowned architect Ellis Kaplan as a timeless space that integrated with its natural surroundings. In 2022, we set out to faithfully restore the lodge with an emphasis on celebrating its history while curating the amenities of a modern resort hotel.
