Our thriving hotel is looking for a dedicated banquet manager who is passionate about giving our customers an amazing banquet event experience. You will guarantee that each guest receives world-class service by working directly with them to book banquet space and present options that match their needs and budgets. We also require someone with exceptional leadership abilities to supervise the banquet crew and maintain the best quality of hotel services. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with 3+ years of hospitality experience, preferably in management, and a strong commitment to client satisfaction.   • Supervise the daily operations of the banquet are, including ordering supplies, overseeing event space set-up, and selecting staffing levels to provide an exceptional level of service
  • Develop policies, procedures, quality standards, and cost-saving measures within the department to continuously improve the customer-focused banquet area
  • Record the outcomes of each event to evaluate and improve future events and procedures
  • Relay all event orders to on-site banquet staff members so they are made aware of their duties and responsibilities
  • Ensure a quality product is provided by communicating with clients about banquet event options that match their budget, and go over any adjustments, questions, or concerns

  • As a Banquet Server, you’ll make sure all our client meetings and events run smoothly by maximizing customer satisfaction by executing detailed instructions for all assigned meetings, conventions, and banquets
  • Make each meal a feast for the eyes and a treat for the taste buds. With your own signature flair, you’ll turn our high standards into memorable meals for every guest
  • Own your area – keep on top of supplies and equipment, and minimize waste
  • Tell your supervisor or duty manager about any unsafe equipment, low supplies, or safety incidents
  • Help create a safe space by following safety procedures and wearing necessary protective equipment
  • Be cleaner than clean – meet or exceed local cleanliness and hygiene laws
  • Help with washing up and other banquet duties when needed
  • Give guests a better experience by helping with any queries or advice
  • Wear your uniform with pride
  • Take on other ad-hoc duties when the whole team needs to pull together

  • Over 3 years experience managing a team in a hospitality role, preferably in a food service capacity
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent with a degree in hospitality management preferred
  • Possess excellent computer skills, especially MS Office -Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager; strong guest-focused mentality

  • Strong – sometimes you’ll need to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs. This can involve bending and kneeling
  • Literate – you’ll need a good grasp of reading, writing, and basic math
  • Flexible – night, weekend, and holiday shifts are all part of the job
  • Compliant – as well as meeting local laws on food handling and serving alcohol
  • Articulate – a great communicator, you’ll be warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to
