Our thriving hotel is looking for a dedicated banquet manager who is passionate about giving our customers an amazing banquet event experience. You will guarantee that each guest receives world-class service by working directly with them to book banquet space and present options that match their needs and budgets. We also require someone with exceptional leadership abilities to supervise the banquet crew and maintain the best quality of hotel services. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with 3+ years of hospitality experience, preferably in management, and a strong commitment to client satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Communicate with customers to go through banquet event choices that fit their budget and go over any modifications, questions, or concerns to guarantee a great product is delivered
- Strengthen a customer-focused banquet event department continuously by developing policies, procedures, quality standards, and cost-cutting measures
- Send banquet event orders to on-site staff members so they are informed of necessary duties and assignments
- Coordinate the daily operations of the banquet area and ensure you are providing an exceptional level of service by purchasing supplies, managing event space set-up, and setting proper staffing levels for events
- Document the outcome of each event to assess and make improvements on future events and processes
Qualifications
- Strong computer skills, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) are needed
- High school graduate or GED equivalent with a degree in hospitality management preferred
- At least 3 years in a supervisory role in hospitality or food service
- This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service
- Excellent communication skills for working with clients and other team members
Compensation
$18 - $23/hr+tip
About Hotel Sutter
Hotel Sutter is a historical building located in the heart of downtown Sutter Creek. We have a restaurant serving indoors, on our balcony as well as out front on our Pallet Cafe. We have 2 bars one located in our lobby and another downstairs known as our Copper Room. We also have a fully functioning 21 room hotel on our 2nd and 3rd floors. We pride ourselves in providing the best service with a smiling face to our many local guests as well as our year-round tourists.
