The Holiday Inn Express Canton, NY is looking for an experienced hotel supervisor with solid leadership, sales and customer service abilities who can grow with us. You will collaborate with our general manager to plan and oversee the hotel's daily operations, and assume the GM responsibilities in their absence. This position is responsible for managing employees and ensuring our guests have a 5-star experience with our services. Our ideal candidate is passionate about customer service and sales while also maintaining the hotel's budget and quality standards. You must have 1 year of supervisory experience in the hospitality industry, and an associates degree in hospitality management is strongly preferred. • Support the general manager in the daily operation of the hotel to ensure that all guest service standards are met
• Propose adjustments that will increase hotel profitability by assessing department performance and identifying issue areas
• Ensure that all local, state, and federal rules and regulations, as well as any corporate or brand-established policies and practices, are followed
• Facilitates management of the hotel's human resources functions, such as HR administration, turnover control, staff motivation, and employee development and retention

• You must have a high school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience working in a hotel or the hospitality industry required
• A proven record of experience managing a team, preferably in a hospitality role, is required
• Showcase exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proven customer service experience as a manager; strong guest-focused mentality
