We're searching for an experienced assistant general manager to help our general manager plan and oversee the hotel's day-to-day operations. When the general manager is unavailable, you will be in charge of supervising personnel, dealing with client problems, and ensuring that our customers enjoy a 5-star experience. Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic about providing exceptional customer service while adhering to hotel budget and quality standards. A bachelor's degree in hospitality management and three years of managerial experience in the hospitality business are strongly preferred. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with department heads and the general manager to develop an annual budget, and assess performance throughout the year, making modifications as needed to preserve profitability
- Manage compliance with company or brand established policies and procedures and any local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Consult with the general manager to ensure that all guest service standards are met daily
- Facilitates management of the hotel's human resources functions, such as HR administration, turnover control, staff motivation, and employee development and retention
- Analyze the performance of each department, report any problem areas, and make recommendations to improve profitability for hotel operations
Qualifications
- Showcase exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- You must have 3 or more years of experience working in the hospitality field
- A high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in hospitality management or a related field
- You must have previous experience in a manager role overseeing a team, preferably in a hospitality role
- This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service
- Full service hotel experience preferred
Compensation
$65,000 - $75,000 yearly
About Dolce by Wyndham
Dolce by Wyndham is a boutique upscale full-service kosher hotel that will open in the summer of 2023, just across the street from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. It will have 100 rooms, manual room keys, kosher catering, and a special designated Shabbos elevator that stops automatically on every floor. This new hotel will also have a rooftop pool, valet parking, and a rooftop Kosher restaurant & bar
The Dolce by Wyndham will be located at 5530 S. State Road 7, Hollywood, FL., and is set to fully open in July 2023.
