This is a leadership opportunity with a highly successful, multi-generational, family-owned cranberry and forestry operation located in southern New Jersey.
As a member of the leadership team, this individual will share the responsibility of all aspects of the decision-making process with a focus on the cranberry culture components of the operation. This individual will contribute their expertise and collaborate on all decisions including but not limited to plant health observations, IPM (Integrated Pest Management) oversight, nutrition, pest, and cultural decisions to maximize cranberry crop production. Scouting, field pesticide analysis reports, and overall crop condition reporting and communication within the leadership team will also be part of the responsibilities of this individual.
This position provides a unique opportunity for collaboration with cranberry industry experts and researchers to increase the knowledge base of cranberry culture. This individual will also lead and demonstrate the ability to perform all tasks related to the growing, maintenance, and harvest of cranberry and forestry operations. The individual will work with team members on short and long-term planning, project development, budgeting, and ongoing crop decisions.
