Our leadership team has worked purposefully over the past year to increase the percentage of our new business revenue that comes from the outbound sales team by partnering closely with our sales reps to generate high-quality meetings and pipelines. We are looking for a leader to take those foundational efforts to the next level in an aggressive year of growth.

As the Head of Sales Development, you’ll be responsible for consulting with the executive team and helping us understand how Wizehire can create new efficiencies and impact the bottom line for our young sales team. You will be a key figure in building, managing, and developing a high-performance SaaS sales team; creating a methodical, data-driven sales process; coaching sales reps in filling and driving the sales pipeline, and identifying new industry verticals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a scalable sales process from prospecting through contract execution
  • Hire, train and lead a team of high-performing Account Executives as the company grows
  • Work with internal team members to ensure successful onboarding and implementation for new clients
  • Work with Sales Enablement to drive world-class AE onboarding
  • Drive execution through rigorous metrics and forecast management
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and sales operations to ensure alignment on your team’s strategy and execution
  • Work closely with the Leadership Team to provide input on the growth of the business and align revenue strategy with overall company objectives
  • Provide outstanding leadership to the sales team, through effective management and leadership
  • Play a visible role externally, within the industry and wider SaaS community. 

Qualifications

  • 4+ years leading BDR teams and/or programs, and 2+ years leading multiple teams in different locations
  • Experience in inbound and outbound pipeline generation motions
  • Closing experience and/or track record of exceeding quota
  • Experience building career development programs for high performing individual contributors
  • Experience with funnel management across multiple channels (inbound, upsell, outbound, marketing)
  • Salesforce and systems knowledge
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Highly data-driven: constant optimization of activities and outputs
