A full-service AV-Rated law firm has an immediate need in our Jacksonville office for a Guardianship and Medicaid Estate Planning Associate to focus primarily on complex guardianship and Medicaid planning work for high-net-worth clients. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of strong guardianship, special needs estate planning experience, Medicaid planning experience, strong communication skills, and a professional demeanor. Must have excellent attention to detail, be comfortable interacting with clients, be a team player, and have a strong ability to multi-task. 

Managing a caseload from start to finish
Intake and Consultations
Drafting, e-filing, and serving pleadings
Managing clients’ expectations and returning all calls within 24 hours during the week
Court appearances in the Orlando area and throughout Florida, if necessary
Networking and building relationships to grow the business

• Computer proficient - ability to use MS Office and Google Suite
• Be a member in good standing of the state bar association and possess a license to practice law

• Florida bar license
• Minimum 3 years of Guardianship, Medicaid Planning, and/or Estate Planning experience. with a focus on special needs planning
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow through
• Exceptional communication skills
• Adapt well to change and maintain a positive attitude under stress
• Ability to multitask and stay focused on the most important and urgent issues
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Litigation experience preferred
