GIS - Remote Sensing Analyst
Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the world’s leading wetland and waterfowl conservation organization, is seeking a GIS/Remote Sensing Analyst to join our highly motivated Southern Region team.
The Analyst will be an integral addition to the regional conservation science and planning unit and will work collaboratively with staff across all departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining Ducks Unlimited’s Southern Region geographic information systems (GIS) data, geoprocessing scripts, and related applications. The position’s duties include overseeing data management to include quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), technical consulting, training, data analysis, cross-departmental and cross-regional collaboration. The position will also support geospatial analysis to identify and deepen our understanding of conservation priorities by:
Analyses include, but are not limited to, quantifying relationships between diverse ecological or social data, conducting analyses of ecosystem representation and landscape connectivity, and assisting conservation planning staff in the development and application of geospatial models.
A Master’s degree in GIS, Geography, Landscape Ecology, Natural Resources, Wildlife Management or related degree or a B.S. in similar fields and 3+ years of experience is desired.
