We are looking for a General Manager for Defined Cafe, a new innovative concept: A shared work/internet/ real estate cafe in Oxford, MI. We provide premium coffee, specialty coffees, snacks and other items in a comfortable, unique and open Cafe. Our concept does not exist anywhere else! We provide free wi-fi for customers, printing and scanning services, meeting room bookings, and consultations with various professionals The Café General Manager will be responsible for day-to-day operations including (i) opening/closing the Café, (ii) scheduling, training, and mentoring staff, (iii) providing excellent customer service, and (iv) developing strong relationships with suppliers, service providers, customers, and management. Other responsibilities include operating a POS system, receiving cash/credit card checkouts, restocking inventory, and maintaining a clean café.

- Manage local and state requirements, filings and reports
- Operate POS system and create daily/weekly reports
- Transact with customers while selling a variety of products including coffee/specialty coffees, printing and private rooms rentals, etc...
- Manage conference rooms and workspaces
- Schedule and manage employee work shifts; perform hiring and training
- Maintain proper inventory levels (food and ingredients, cleaning supplies and office supplies)
- Communicate and provide weekly reports to management
- Organize and maintain a clean cafe
- Grind and brew coffee and various other coffee related products
- Applicant must either posses a Michigan Food Service License or be willing to obtain a license shortly after starting
- ServSafe Certification (preferred)
