Freedom Driven, creators of Forefront CRM, is growing our team! We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer looking based in the U.S. that has experience in leading a project or product. The right person for this role will be comfortable working with Subject Matter Experts to get a deep understanding of the needs in order to set the technical direction and seeing it through to completion.

  • Has a knack for thinking and developing in a future-proof manner
  • This is a full-time position

Responsibilities

  • Recording software team metrics
  • Design, architect, build and maintain a highly-scalable, secure, robust web app using coding standards
  • Stay abreast of new technologies and provide recommendations to senior staff
  • Work in a continuous integration environment
  • Conduct code reviews
  • Resolve complex technical design issues
  • Follow Agile principles and test-driven development
  • Process day to day support requests and assign or address as needed
  • Prioritize and assign development tasks based on complexity, customer needs, and roadmap
  • Work with team to remove any hurdles preventing progress
  • Manage code repository branches
  • Work on own current development tasks

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • PHP
  • Javascript (Vue.js a plus)
  • MVC (Laravel a plus)
  • Project management software
  • Project management skills
  • Relational Database Design and Administration
  • Document DB Design and Administration
  • Test-driven development
  • Code standards and Clean Development
