Full Charge Bookkeeper (5+ YRS Experience)

We are looking for Accountants who use a personal approach to accounting and view their job responsibility as one that is able to work with many different companies, industry types, and types of personalities. The Bookkeeper will need to work on-site at our Broken Arrow Location for 35-40 hours per week.

The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing multiple sets of company books on a month-to-month basis. This individual will need to demonstrate excellent time management skills as well as excellent customer service skills via phone and email. Communication with clients is key in obtaining ALL documentation and accuracy of information to perform monthly duties for each company with timeliness, consistency, and precision.

Shockley Bookkeeping & Tax Service is looking for an experienced, reliable Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage approximately 20-30 bookkeeping accounts per month. We have 90 clients totals, companies that span many different business industries.

This individual must be able to successfully manage all bookkeeping and have a working knowledge of payroll scenarios and communicate with all clients professionally and efficiently. This includes full responsibility for all finances and an understanding of payroll-related activities required for each client. You might need to assist with bookkeeping, AR, AP, administrative or other required duties as the situation arises.

Starting pay based on experience; $18-$24 an hour.

Bookkeeping Responsibilities:

• Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports for approximately 20-30 companies
• Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
• Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
• Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
• Report analysis and findings to the management team

Job Type: Full-time

• Must have 5+ years of accounting experience minimum
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Must have QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop Experience 5+ Years minimum
• Must be an excellent communicator via phone and/or email
• Must have well kept time management skills
• Must be skilled in multi-tasking
• Must be a team player
• Must be detail and deadline-oriented
• Fundamental Knowledge of GAAP
• Experience in Accounting, Bookkeeping, AR/AP, or as a Staff Accountant is desired
• Experience as a full charge bookkeeper or Staff Accountant will also be considered
• Experience with all aspects of payroll processing and wage attachment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
