We are looking for an experienced Receptionist to grow our administrative team at our main office in Alpharetta, GA. When our clients hire us, they are going through an emotionally difficult period in their lives, and our goal is to help them make their lives better.

Our Receptionist will help create a welcoming and professional first impression of the Firm by putting callers and visitors at ease and making them feel comfortable. You will interact and build relationships with clients in person and over the telephone. This position requires the right combination of empathy, experience, and skill. If that sounds like you, you will play an integral role in creating memorable experiences for our clients.

This position involves administrative duties related to receiving and sorting mail, deliveries, and packages, filing, and assisting other team members, as well as interpersonal duties to assist the firm in providing a high standard of service to clients.

Skills and experience are required and valued, but attitude, character, personality, and integrity are also important. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset, an ability to relate with people in crisis, and a good sense of humor.

The Receptionist position is full-time. This is an in-office position with no possibility of a remote work or work from home option. If travel to Alpharetta, GA five days per week is not possible, please refrain from applying.

Responsibilities

  • You should be friendly and professional on the telephone and in-person
  • Clients are dealing with massive stress and anxiety. You should be empathetic and help put them at ease
  • You will be answering many calls and working on many tasks and projects concurrently, over long periods of time. We expect you to keep track of key dates, keep the right people informed, and prioritize your time so that we never miss a deadline
  • You should treat a caller or visitor to the firm at 4:30 pm on Friday with the same care and compassion as one on Monday morning at 9 am
  • Family Law is messy, and there is often no right or best answer. Even gathering the information can be difficult. You will need to be creative, organized and efficient to do your job well
  • A penchant for accuracy and attention to detail are required to avoid mistakes that can cost our clients dearly
  • You are a representative of the firm and the first (possibly the only) interaction a visitor has with the staff in our office. Your ability to make a positive impression is a critical component of your job

Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience as a receptionist, administrative assistant, guest service specialist, or similar position preferred
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Displays impeccable interpersonal, time management, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Well-versed in taking telephone calls and handling stressful situations
  • Must have graduated high school, received a G.E.D. or equivalent

  • Must be energetic, happy, and willing to learn and adapt to new systems and procedures
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Must be fashionable, fit, neat, and presentable at all times as the first in-person contact with clients or potential clients

Compensation
