The Production Maintenance Associate is responsible for maintaining all equipment used for food processing within the food production room. In this position, the Production Maintenance Associate must have a sound understanding of mechanical equipment as it pertains to food processing. 


  • Ensures that all production line equipment is fully functional
  • Manages parts inventory
  • Reviews and updates preventive maintenance programs
  • Identifies opportunities and implements actions through communications with the Production Maintenance Lead to achieve efficiencies
  • Contributes to consolidation, reduction, and rationalization of the equipment suppliers
  • Reports to the Production Maintenance Lead
  • Supply of own tools to perform troubleshooting and repairs
  • Responsible for breakdown and assembly of machinery
  • Perform assigned duties with minimal supervision while maintaining OSHA safety compliance and SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards


  • High school diploma/3 to 5 years experience 
  • Both AC and DC electrical experience
  • Experience in electrical troubleshooting, repair, and diagnostics of Variable Frequency Drives and PLC’s used in 208v-480v systems
  • Ability to read and understand machinery schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Ability to read European wiring prints a plus
  • Experience in gas and electrical oven repair
  • Facility maintenance, heating/cooling, HVAC experience a plus
  • Be able to weld and fabricate
  • Must be able to trouble shoot plc
  • Must be able to read mechanical and electrical blueprints
  • Must be able to work on pneumatics and use Outlook for company emails
  • Knowledge and experience in pneumatic machinery and troubleshooting
  • Automation experience a plus

Physical and mental requirements of the job include:

  • Must be able to walk production area
  • Shifts may extend beyond 8 hours in overtime situations; include weekends or alternate work schedule arrangements
  • Must be able to work at desk using computer, telephone, and other basic office equipment effectively
  • Must be physically able to work in sometimes awkward situations with manufacturing equipment and handle weights of up to 40 pounds as necessary 
  • Able to frequently work in cold and/or warm temperatures, both inside and outside the facility, in mixed levels of noise and light

$16 - $22 per hour
