We’re looking for an enthusiastic food prep worker who can deliver outstanding results in the kitchen prepping meal components for our line cooks. Your main responsibilities will be to stock, prepare and measure condiments and slice and dice foods. You’ll keep your workstation and equipment clean and follow all required safety protocols. Good organization skills, the ability to take directions well, and to read recipe instructions and labels in English, as well as handle a variety of kitchen equipment, sharp knives, and measuring tools are required. Some experience in a restaurant work environment is preferred but not required. If you are a positive self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, we want to meet you! • Read recipe measurements and label instructions in English and use correct measuring tools
• Handle simple kitchen tasks such as cutting vegetables and meat, labeling items, measuring ingredients, and using simple kitchen equipment, like a food processor and oven
• Keep food stations, prep areas, and kitchen utensils clean and sanitized throughout your shift, and adhere to all food safety regulations
• Use the correct measurements and follow all recipes as they are written, wash all fruits and vegetables, mix sauces, and keep station stocked
• Keep an eye on the inventory to ensure all necessary prepped items are available and ready when and as needed
• Follow directions from the kitchen manager and complete tasks as requested

• Prefer someone with some kitchen prep experience and associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent, but it is not required

• Must be comfortable handling sharp knives and other kitchen tools
• Understand how to read recipes, measuring tools, and labels in English
• Have the basic skills necessary to prep food for a busy restaurant kitchen with minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and some holidays
• Prefer someone with previous restaurant kitchen experience
• Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time, bend frequently, lift 35 to 50 pounds, and pull heavy items, such as trash
