Our Boston office location is seeking professionals to join our growing practice. Our representatives and advisors strive to understand their client's goals and dreams in order to develop comprehensive solutions that will help their clients reach financial success. 

Even if you have no previous finance experience, we will help nurture and develop your sales and planning talents! (Our training program = Training Magazine's "Training Top 125 Award" winner). You will be given the flexibility to build your own practice while receiving support and guidance from our firm's exceptional network of financial specialists, training and educational programs, and mentors.

As a Northwestern Mutual Financial Representative:

  • Build—Work to build a client base by growing relationships with your network and develop knowledge of NM financial products and market trends.
  • Educate—Educate yourself beyond training through sponsored licensing and registration as well as ongoing development. Use assistive software, reporting tools, and illustrations to educate clients on potential plans.
  • Influence— Presenting clients with the opportunity to protect and prosper, you will drive clients to action through expert influence and recommendations.
  • Own—Take ownership of development and management of the business as you master your craft and build a team. Review and maintain client financial plans, continuing to provide optimum advice for your clients’ needs.

Responsibilities

  • Connecting with potential clients; being sensitive to their needs and true desires
  • Serve as the connection to your clients and collaborate with our financial planning team, mentors, and specialists to develop tailored solutions
  • Training and guidance from our leadership team and individual mentors
  • Partner with clients by creating personalized financial plans built on their unique needs and desires

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree; or equivalent professional work experience
  • Entrepreneurial ambitions
  • History of success in sales, athletics, military, client services, or client-facing roles
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • A desire for continuous learning
  • Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship

$78,000 - $113,000
