Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and division of property. Familiarly by Real Estate, Business and/or Tax Law if a plus. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a must. $90,000+ per year plus bonuses based on reaching KPIs

• Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed
• Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases
• Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed
• Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process
• Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action

• Ability to successfully represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a case
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations
• Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association)
• Prior work or studies in criminal justice preferred

• Prior work in Real Estate, Business or Tax preferred
• Comfortable with technology including case management software, automation software and project management software
• At least 5 years working in a law firm on family law issues as well as real estate (determining marital property) is necessary
