I am a busy family law attorney with over 30 years of experience. I am located in the south suburbs. My practice is concentrated in Will, Kankakee, DuPage and Cook Counties.

My practice includes divorce, child custody, paternity, adoptions and guardianship cases.

I am looking for a truly self-motivated individual who does not want and/or need to be micromanaged. I am not a hand holder. I need someone able to take responsibility and think on their feet.

You will in turn receive a vast amount of experience in all aspects of the practice, including court time, drafting pleadings and orders, drafting and responding to discovery and client contact.

Client contact is an extremely important and large part of the job.

Knowledge of tax, bankruptcy and real estate and probate in addition to family law is helpful.

• Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action
• Represent clients in court proceedings as needed
• Keep client files properly organized and up to date
• Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process
• Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases

• At least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on family law issues as well as real estate (determining marital property) is necessary
• Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations
• Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required
