We are hiring an experienced family attorney who can assist clients in surviving divorce and finding personal and financial independence, sometimes for the first time in their lives. We are a client's goal-focused firm. Client's goals and objectives are more important than our egos. If you enjoy navigating sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody and domestic violence, but also find business law and tax law interesting, we might be a great fit for you!

Responsibilities

  • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed
  • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases
  • Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed
  • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action
  • Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process
  • High levels of self-esteem, empathy, and compassion
  • Ability to put clients at ease
  • Understanding of how clients’ problems are more than legal problems to them
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Extremely comfortable with technology (and realizes that Smart Phones might be smarter than us)

Qualifications

  • Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations
  • Hard-working TEAM player responsible for all aspects of a client's case including communicating with clients and other counsel, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing for and attending court hearings, settlement conferences, performing legal research, and preparing for and attending trials
  • At least 2 years of family law experience is required and non-negotiable
  • California Bar License in good standing is required

Compensation
$85,000+
