$40,000+ BASE salary (depending on experience) - PLUS Commission (Should average around $110,000 plus)

Unique Loan Officer Position

This mortgage office is located "inside" Elam Real Estate. Elam Real Estate is a very unique set up. We are run much more like a traditional business and NOT like a traditional Real Estate office. We work to create an environment in which our team enjoys coming to work - vs - so many environments where team members dread coming to work. Elam has teamed up with "National WELL known mortgage partner" to offer an unparalleled mortgage lending platform. This remote lending arm is supported by one of the most robust processing and closing departments around middle TN. This position will work directly with Elam Real Estate Agents - working to ensure Elam Agents have your full and complete attention. Elam offers between 15 and 30 Agents for you and your team to work with.

We are seeking a self-motivated, hard-working individual with a desire to grow and be great at what you do - not just good. We need someone with a leadership personality who possesses a work ethic and passion that inspires those around them. You must be a forward thinker who produces results rather than waits for them – you will not be micromanaged. You will be given the tools and support staff needed to meet specific expectations and it will be entirely up to you to make sure that this happens. You must be able to interact AND enjoy working with multiple Real Estate Agent personalities.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule and conduct mortgage financing conversations.
  • Daily interaction with ELAM Agents - build relationships.
  • Be familiar with all aspects of the mortgage lending process.
  • Respond to all mortgage lending leads/requests.
  • Manage appointments with borrowers for mortgage loan requests as well as online and telephone mortgage loan requests.
  • Prepare mortgage loan applications including required supporting documentation for submission to underwriting.
  • Ensure exceptional member experience by providing on-going communication to applicants as necessary during various stages of the loan process.
  • Work closely with the mortgage processors to ensure follow up and prompt member service.
  • Must maintain integrity with all member sensitive data.
Qualifications
  • 3 years of origination experience.
  • Active TN NMLS license.
  • Understand the foundation of determining credit worthiness.
  • Familiar with title reports, insurance, and appraisals.
  • Willing to REALLY work our MANY Zillow / PPC etc Leads.
  • Diligent follow up and selling skills.
  • Not offended by rejection.
  • Great memory and recall (need to be able to learn and retain information about clients / loan guidelines, etc.).
  • Excellent active listening, speaking, reading, and writing communication skills.
  • Performance and achievement driven.
  • Highly driven, self-motivated, confident, and a self-starter.
  • Comfortable in a leadership role.
  • Bring out the best in others (keeping both the mortgage team and real estate agents motivated).
  • Tech savvy and a quick learner.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Critical/analytical/innovative AND creative thinker.
  • Comfortable with judgment and decision making.
  • High stress tolerance.
  • Exceptionally organized and effective at prioritizing daily tasks.
  • Compensation BASE Salary ( depending on experience ) PLUS commission
Compensation
$110,000 - $125,000 yearly
