Are you intelligent and love to work in a fast-paced environment where your commitment to hard work is appreciated and rewarding? Many people say they are committed, yet they don’t show up to work on time and are unwilling to stay past 5 PM when things come up. We are looking for truly committed and purpose-driven people; if you are both then keep reading…
Our ideal candidate would have 3+ years of experience working as an assistant for a hard-working dedicated executive. They would also have a bachelor’s degree or higher. This position is not about making coffee, answering phones, or watching the executive’s kids. It’s about managing projects, making decisions, and working at a pace that keeps up with the CEO. We need someone who knows how to communicate professionally and appropriately with clients both verbally and in written form, yet can be casual with colleagues and fit into our team’s commitment to growing, support each other, and learning culture.
We believe that for a relationship to be successful both people must win. Our team bonds over collectively achieving company goals. We can’t do it alone; we are all an important part of the whole. We want you to understand your strengths and leverage them, but we also expect you to understand your weaknesses, so they don’t blindside you. We don’t look for perfection, we look for people to have personal awareness; something many thinks they have, but few do. If you agree so far, we are on track so let’s head to the details.
We want to make sure you are very confident and extremely well versed in how to use a computer. You must be proficient in Windows 10, and Microsoft Office well enough to train others. We’d want you proficient enough to do training videos on Outlook and Word and have a decent understanding of Excel? When you take notes, you would use the computer to take notes, not a pen and paper. If what we have stated doesn’t faze you, keep reading. If you have any doubts, do us both a favor and stop reading so we don’t waste each other’s time. Computer competence is a core skill of this Executive Assistant role and is tested prior to hiring.
Now a few more things to help you decide if you want to send us your resume. If we had worked with you in the past, would we describe you as mature, punctual, with a deep desire to serve the team you work with, and you make mistakes, but you own your mistakes and learn from them? Our work schedule varies and is flexible to fit the needs of the executive you served but no one will expect you to work insane hours with no time off. We would consider you a great fit if you can integrate your work and your life. We also need someone who can travel once per month for a few days and enjoys a varied work week.
