These Autoimmune Disease Workshops are located at La Plaza Garden Offices Conference Room located at 4340 Redwood Highway, Building F, Suite 138, San Rafael, CA. 94903.

Each workshop goes from 3:30p.m. to 7:30p.m. We need help every 3 weeks on a Saturday - the dates of the workshops are listed below.

October 26th 2019

November 23rd 2019

December 14th 2019

January 18th 2020

February 22nd 2020

March 14th 2020

April 4th 2020

As you can see, we have events regularly and need some help. We prefer someone who is local to Marin County.

This job pays $20 per hour and requires 3 hours on each of the days listed. Again, we have other all day events that we will also need help with.

Responsibilities

Here are many of the things that the Event Administrative Coordinator does to help with the workshop. These details below allow the workshop to go well and make it more fun and exciting. The better results that we get from the workshop, the easier it is for us to give out bonuses for the help given.

Any proceeds that we have from the workshop go toward the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank. So, you are helping with a good cause and feeding families in need just by helping with the event. Here are all of the things that the Doctor's Assistant does to help with the workshop.

  • Set up for a couple of hours the day before the workshop.
  • Help post notices (flyers) on 9 windows of the conference room the night before the workshop.
  • Help people to sign in on a sign in sheet the day of the workshop.
  • Become familiar with what we say to people at the workshop by following a script / guide / cheat sheet.
  • Hand out a Survey to workshop attendees in order to make the information that we go over more relatable to them and to help them follow along better.
  • Write down questions in English on a writing pad for those people that have some questions that they want answered during the workshop.
  • Put out or take away chairs for people to sit in during the workshop.
  • Help people to find the restroom and the restroom key during the workshop.
  • Schedule people into the paper schedule book at the end of the workshop by circling the time of their appointment and then drawing a line with an arrow down to one and 15 minutes later. We neatly write into the appointment notebook their first and last name, their cellular phone number, and their email address.
  • Collect small payments from people at the end of the workshop for those wanting to schedule their initial New Patient Health History and Physical Examination. You may need to learn how to use a square checker on an iPad.
  • For those who schedule and pay for an exam we give them an appointment card with the day and time of their appointment and we also give them coupon that allows them the discount that they are receiving for the examination and we also give them the New Patient Forms that they need to complete prior to their scheduled examination.
  • Cleaning up after the event and putting things away.

You will be assisting a doctor with running the workshops (signing in on a sign in sheet, filling out questionnaires, scheduling appointments, processing payments, etc.). You will also help with setting up for the event and breaking things down after the event is over. You will need to have your own car that you have complete access to and should live locally in Marin or be ready, willing and able to make a short commute from nearby.

If you believe you would be a good fit for what we are looking for, please send us an abbreviated resume. If it looks as though we are a good fit then we will contact you to set up a brief informal interview as soon as possible. Thank you.
