OVERVIEW

As an evening guest services manager for the Saratoga Arms Hotel, you’ll create a memorable vacation experience for guests visiting Saratoga Springs. Your goal will be to provide exceptional service for both our in-house guests and potential future guests that engage with the hotel on the phone, via text or through our website chatbox. Your success will help the Saratoga Arms Hotel position itself as the premier luxury hotel in Saratoga Springs.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITES

  • As our evening guest services manager you’ll ensure the smooth operation of the hotel during evening hours, working 5 shifts/week from 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm. In addition to taking reservations, checking in guests and handling all guest communication, you’ll be the primary point person for all departments past 5:00 pm daily, including night laundry and front porch FB.
  • Ensuring guests have a memorable stay in Saratoga Springs by providing exceptional service and making carefully considered suggestions for dining, activities and more.
  • Motivating potential guests to book with us by describing the benefits of staying at our property.
  • Monitoring the communication channels guests use to reach our hotel including the phone, website chat window and in-house guest text messaging platform.
  • Contributing to all hotel departments including food and beverage, housekeeping and maintenance to ensure smooth operations on the evening shift.
  • Promoting our hotel, our packages and promotions, our city and our city hospitality partners to in-house guests and potential future guests.
  • Serving as the point person for all evening staff including night laundry and the food and beverage server for our porch.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

For candidates that have an innate desire to serve others but may not have applicable experience, please apply. Please keep the following in mind as you submit your application:

  • Experience: previous hotel experience is not required. If you describe yourself as warm, empathetic, teamwork-oriented, conscientious and optimistic, we’ll train you!
  • Education: a high school diploma is encouraged, a bachelor's degree is ideal.
  • Skills: you’ll understand how to address a guest’s questions or concerns. You’ll understand how to balance competing priorities in this fast-paced role. You know how to speak to guests in a clear, concise and compelling way.
  • Characteristics: in this position, you’ll be staffed solo, so you must be self-sufficient and self-motivated without direct supervision.

Compensation
$16 hourly
