Our expanding law firm is looking for an experienced estate planning and probate attorney. We require a highly analytical applicant with excellent organizational abilities who are available to work full-time. You will prepare documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney as our estate planning attorney. And you will manage files from beginning to end in probate. This role carries a great deal of responsibility and seeks to eliminate questions regarding how an estate should be managed. Our ideal candidate will have extensive estate planning and probate knowledge, be a qualified attorney, and have excellent written communication abilities. Please apply if this describes you!
Our main office is located in Hollywood, FL and this position is being offered as a work from home/in-person or hybrid for the right candidate. You must demonstrate successful experience with working in an out-of-office environment.

Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current
- Communicate with clients about plans for dispersing their assets
- Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation, and forming a strategy for a plan of action
- Prepare wills, trusts, and power of attorney documents
- Consult clients about the plans for distributing their assets
- Collaborate with the team to effectively move files through the estate administration process
The Law Firm Associate should delegate to Paralegals and legal staff to accomplish tasks where appropriate but remains responsible for ensuring the timely and professional completion of the work assigned.
Competent Provision of Legal Services:
- Legal Consultations/Meetings
- Legal research
- Drafting motions, pleadings, orders, judgments, and status updates
- Managing Case Files
Supervision:
- Oversee, counsel, guide, train, and mentor Paralegals and legal staff, including assigning work and monitoring work product
- In conjunction and consultation with the Managing Partner/Owner and Firm Administrator, conduct performance evaluations and make recommendations for recruitment, hiring, promotion, and termination
Management and Coordination:
- Monitor relevant caseload pipeline and act as necessary to move cases progressively forward and through the pipeline in accordance with defined milestones
- Proactively work with the Managing Partner/Owner to assess and ensure efficient effective operations of the Firm during monthly diagnostic meetings. Make recommendations on the design, deployment, and execution of policies, procedures, processes, checklists, templates, forms, etc. to create systems that run the business efficiently and profitably

Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations
- Wide range of knowledge regarding real estate-related topics such as title insurance, wills and trusts, and property management
- At least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on estate planning and probate law issues are necessary
- Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and a J.D. degree is required
- Licensed member of the Florida Bar
Compensation
$85,000 - $100,000
