We are seeking an estate planning paralegal to add to our growing team. Applicants should be experienced, highly organized, and motivated professionals with a strong work ethic and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Being point person/primary contact for all Estate Plan files
  • Correspondence (in person, in writing, and via telephone) with clients, attorneys, and other parties
  • Drafting of estate plan documents, deeds, and other documents as necessary under the supervision of an attorney
  • Detailed proofreading of prepared documents prior to presenting to client
  • Accurate timekeeping
  • Maintaining updated spreadsheet of current matters, status, and deadlines
  • Ongoing training and skill development
  • Assisting with other legal matters and duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience in a legal office
  • Strong preference for candidates who have completed a paralegal certification or have advanced paralegal education
  • Prior experience in estate planning or elder law is preferred
  • Current NC Notary Public commission is preferred, but not required
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Aptitude to learn and utilize additional software as appropriate
  • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills and time-management skills

Compensation
$23 - $29 hourly
