Prefer full-time but would consider part-time or contract for the right person. This is an IN-HOUSE position (not remote).

Summary of who we are looking for:

Our future EP paralegal is someone who loves direct communication with clients, has experience in estate planning and/or probate, is a 9 or 10 out of 10 on organization, and knows how to prioritize so work is always in final form 48 hours prior to being needed.

• Frequent telephone contact with clients and advisors
• Meet with clients (in person, via zoom, or by telephone) to obtain information, sign documents, answer questions
• Organize files, maintain both physical files and e-files
• Close communication with Attorney as to file progress, with weekly written reports
• Prepare or coordinate preparation of estate planning documents
• Proof read estate planning documents

Key Skills:

• Minimum 2 years experience in Estate Planning law
• Great Organizational Skills
• Clear communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to laypeople
• Knowledge of Connecticut statutes relating to estate planning and probate
• Notary Public
