Are you “THE ONE” we need next on our team?

Do you love working with clients but hate dealing with the operations, management, and business development side of running a practice?

Do you long for more work/life balance and to stop taking work home on the nights or weekends so you can spend more time with your family?

Are you ready to demonstrate your expertise at the highest level of a rapidly growing small law firm?

Then, please read on…

Jarvis Law Firm is growing and focuses their practice on estate planning, estate administration, elder law, and asset protection with offices in Dublin, St. Clairsville and Lancaster, OH.

Compensation is $70,000 - $90,000 base depending on experience plus bonus potential

Our firm is looking for an associate attorney who is well-organized, takes initiative, can juggle multiple priorities and who shares our growth mindset. The associate attorney will be responsible for continuing our commitment to provide the legal services of the firm and operate under the firm’s policies, procedures, and quality standards.

The associate attorney’s responsibilities will extend from “soup to nuts”. He or she will: meet with clients to design planning that will work to best serve clients’ interests; quote and collect the fee; review documents before they leave the office for quality and accuracy. He/she will also be responsible to ensure that clients’ files move smoothly through the office. Client meetings occur both in person and via Zoom. The associate may also be asked to write and deliver topical articles and presentations for professional and community groups.

  • The successful candidate will be an effective practitioner with a passion for helping clients. You are a self-starter who takes initiative and is compassionate, and yet you also understand that the firm needs to work efficiently and profitably in order to grow and to best serve the community.
  • The ability to connect with clients and other firm members is paramount to driving personal and firm success. Integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness must be unwavering to succeed, along with a willingness to do whatever it takes to help the team as a whole.
  • To get the job done, you must have a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited school of law with current license to practice law in the state of Ohio with at least 2-4 years’ estate planning and estate administration experience.
  • In a nutshell, you will have a knack for producing excellent legal work, editing information and establishing priorities. You also naturally maintain order and adapt to changing priorities. You follow through and have no problem following and improving established procedures, evaluating and creating new procedures, and ensuring completion of all files by established deadlines while ensuring an effective system is in place to do so. You are also coachable, have a positive attitude, willing to learn, and always treat others with respect.
  • If you are “THE ONE” we are looking for, please tell us why we should schedule an interview with you, and include your desired pay range, as well. No phone calls will be accepted from candidates or recruiters.
