We are looking for an experienced estate planning associate with a minimum of five years experience, an amazing attitude, and the ability to demonstrate vast empathy for our clients. A qualified candidate will have experience drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advanced directives, and other related documents. A great candidate will also have experience in one or more of our other practice areas listed below.

Responsibilities

  • Draft estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced directives for health care
  • Advise clients regarding retirement plans, charitable giving, and tax planning
  • Conduct effective consultations with potential clients
  • Interface with clients providing excellent customer service
  • Identify legal issues related to Medicaid and Special Needs Planning
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential legal problems and develop strategies to avoid costly litigation and reduce potential areas of risk
  • Research and analyze the law on complex issues

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed with the State Bar of Georgia
  • Five years of estate planning experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and technical aptitude to learning other software programs such as practice management software
  • Familiarity with document drafting software
  • Experience with WealthCounsel and ElderCounsel is a plus
  • Ability to show empathy to clients and puts them at ease
  • Attention to detail
  • You enjoy being in a dynamic job where no task is above or below you
  • Willingness to become proficient in the firm’s other areas of practice

Compensation
$75,000 - $100,000 yearly
