We are looking for a paralegal to help with our estate planning, estate administration, and Medicaid cases.

As our paralegal, you are responsible for drafting, editing, and reviewing estate planning, probate, and Medicaid documents as instructed by a supervising attorney.

In your role as a Medicaid paralegal, you will assist in the preparation of Medicaid applications, holding clients' hands throughout the process. In your role as Estate Administration paralegal, you will help ensure clients’ estates are administered as intended. In your role as an Estate Planning paralegal, you will help ensure clients' estate planning documents are created as intended. To accomplish these goals, you will work closely with clients, attorneys, bankers, CPAs, financial planners, and other professionals

You will communicate with clients and be the primary interface between attorneys and the firm’s clients.

You will organize and compile documents in preparation for client meetings, manage the flow of matters through the process, and finalize the delivery of completed work.

You must be organized, accurate, and efficient in using the technological resources needed to complete assigned work.

You will utilize a variety of resources and systems to gather, organize and record information.

This position requires dealing with sensitive, confidential information as well as administrative duties related to file preparation, organization, and maintenance. You will interact and build relationships with clients and other professionals, in person, via email, and over the telephone.

Often we are dealing with clients in some of the most difficult times of their lives, which means you will be often expected to handle them with diplomacy, tact, and understanding.

Our firm core values are:

Compassionate - We listen to the client and understand that this might be one of the worst times of their lives.

Ethical - We do what we say what we will do, the way we said we would do it, when we said we will do it. And because we are human, if that doesn't happen, we clean up the messes.

Down-to-earth - We understand that we are in a complicated and confusing area of the law and we want to make sure our clients understand us, are easy to understand, and relatable

Relationship focused - We understand that we are not in this for just a transaction. We are in clients' and their family's lives for years and we cherish that.

Teamwork - We offer to help when needed and ask for help when needed. We don't use the phrase, "that's not my job."
