Cary Estate Planning

A rapidly growing estate planning firm with offices in Cary, Raleigh, and Wake Forest is seeking to add a motivated, team-oriented Lawyer to make an immediate impact on day one.

We are looking for an Attorney who is newer to the practice of estate planning and probate law, and who is looking for mentorship and growth opportunities in a truly enjoyable work environment. Demonstrated interest in estate planning and probate is required.

Family-focused with a flexible work environment, Cary Estate Planning offers a competitive salary and compensation package with incentives for accomplishing your key performance indicators (KPIs). We are a team-oriented firm with a focus on providing client-centered, relationship-driven estate planning services for individuals and families in the Wake County area, and throughout the State of North Carolina.

We put the client experience and relationship with our firm first, above all else, and we’re looking for an attorney who enjoys:

  • Working directly with clients to create their ideal planning strategy and review their estate planning documents with them, in-person and over phone/video
  • Managing legal workflows as established by the firm's policies and procedures
  • Working as part of a team performing the actions within your job description and responsibilities, but also assisting other team members when needed
  • Legal technology, innovation, and process development/improvement
  • Pushing against the status quo, not just doing things the way they've "always been done"
  • Always doing the right thing for clients, no matter what
  • Accomplishing clear performance expectations
  • Open and transparent feedback and communication, and being rewarded for exceeding expectations
  • A flexible and enjoyable working environment where the employee experience isn't just an afterthought

  • Providing a truly enjoyable estate planning experience for our clients and their families
  • Helping to guide potential new clients through estate planning options that will be in their best interests
  • Assisting loved ones with the administration of an estate.
  • Being an advisor, using a true fiduciary, honest planning approach to estate planning
  • Contributing to the success of the team even if it means going outside of your job description
  • Keeping unneeded drama out of the office and contributing to our solid team culture
  • Helping to grow the firm's presence throughout the Triangle and the State of North Carolina

The ideal candidate will have experience working in firms that practice estate planning and probate as the primary or only practice area(s), meeting with clients and involvement in consultation meetings, experience drafting and reviewing estate plans, and conducting signing meetings.

The ideal candidate will be driven to exceed expectations and contribute to the growth of the firm in a meaningful way and will have the following qualifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of North Carolina (ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED) - do not apply unless you have already taken and passed the North Carolina Bar Exam or have been admitted through reciprocal admission.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with estate planning matters at a law firm that focuses on estate planning and probate
  • High emotional intelligence
  • Business and tech-savvy, or a quick learner
  • Experience with, and comfort with, one-on-one consultation meetings with clients on your own

$60,000 - $80,000 yearly
