Our expanding law firm is looking for an experienced Estate Planning, Probate, and Elder Law Attorney. We require a highly analytical applicant with excellent communication and organizational abilities who is available to work full or part-time. You will meet with clients, understand their goals and concerns, and build plans that include wills, trusts, and powers of attorney as our estate planning attorney. In addition, you will be expected to handle probate and estate administration matters along with our team of paralegals, staff, and attorneys. This role carries a great deal of responsibility and seeks to eliminate questions regarding how an estate should be managed. You also will be learning about elder care planning and how we protect assets for families that are facing long-term care. • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation, and forming a strategy for a plan of action
• Consult clients about your plans for distributing their assets
• Create wills, trusts, and powers of attorney for your clients
• Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current
• Advise clients regarding retirement plans, charitable giving, and insurance options

• Meet with your clients to understand their goals and present them with their planning options
• Drafting probate and estate administration documents
• Communicating with your clients regarding their matters
• Researching novel issues in the law affecting client matters
• Represent clients in probate court proceedings

• Great communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations
• Experience at a legal firm working on estate planning and probate law issues for at least 1-2 years is required
• Wide range of knowledge regarding real estate-related topics such as title insurance, wills and trusts, property management, and litigation
• Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required
