We are looking for a customer service focused high-performing and experienced escrow coordinator to join our well-established team! Our ideal candidate will have several years of managing real estate transactions and escrow closings with fine attention to detail, a high level of proactivity and self-direction, creative problem-solving ability, with a passion for customer service. This position is responsible for coordinating the escrow process from start to finish to ensure the seller has a seamless and highly rated experience. Along with being an excellent communicator, the Escrow Coordinator will need to act as the “project manager” of the escrow process and will be responsible for ensuring that everything happens in order to get a deal from contract to close. Fast, frequent, and accurate communication is critical between the Escrow Coordinator, Seller, Title and Escrow Company, operations team, and third-party vendors. Experience in an investment real estate environment is highly desirable where you have interfaced and negotiated access to the home or "Cash For Keys" agreements with squatters or tenants highly desirable.

Significant experience in escrow and real estate transactions is required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain proper accounting procedures when depositing and removing earnest money funds and final disbursement from the escrow account
  • Assume other pre-closing and post-closing tasks as directed
  • Understand all contracts, commitments, and lender and escrow instructions to assure completion for a timely escrow close
  • Represent escrow officer during the closing process in client, title company insurance representative, loan officer, insurance company representatives, escrow processors, and team members, and real estate agents communications
  • Manage clerical and administrative duties on the escrow officer’s behalf to complete escrow transactions and necessary follow-up requests
  • Take over the transaction from the agent to push property through escrow
  • Reach out to sellers via phone and/or email to communicate the process
  • Coordinator with third-party vendors for necessary inspections
  • Identify any additional inspections needed on the property such as septic, roof, and well
  • If the seller currently has tenants, drive to acquire tenant information
  • Review contracts and make sure all required documentation is included
  • Ability to recognize what needs to be done to keep escrow on track
  • Ability to anticipate needs and issues before they arise
  • Verify all contracts are in CRM accounts and that all information matches the contract info
  • Call tenants and negotiate cash for keys 
  • Build rapport with sellers and encourage referrals
  • Provide administrative assistance to the operations team when needed

Qualifications

  • Administrative support, secretarial, and clerical experience required
  • Experience with Microsoft office required, escrow software experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required -- some college preferred
  • 2-3 years of residential or commercial escrow assistant experience
  • Superb communications, time management, problem-solving, and customer service skills
  • Well organized and driven
  • Real Estate Experience preferred
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Requires the ability to work while functioning under the pressure of problem-solving and time-sensitive deadlines
  • Strong Organizational and Multitasking skills
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Accountability for results

Compensation
$50,000 - $75,000 yearly
