We're seeking a full-time employment law associate who will be responsible for all aspects of clients’ matters, including devising policies and strategies, negotiating agreements, drafting letters, employee handbooks, pleadings, and briefs, arguing motions, mediating cases, and preparing for and attending hearings and trials.

Responsibilities

The associate will be responsible for all aspects of clients’ matters, including:

  • Devising policies and strategies
  • Providing sound employment law advice
  • Drafting letters, employee handbooks, and pleadings
  • Negotiating resolutions to disputes
  • Conducting discovery
  • Mediating cases
  • Writing legal briefs
  • Arguing motions
  • Preparing for and attending hearings and trials

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will: 

  • Be an active member of the New Jersey Bar (and New York Bar preferred)
  • Have experience independently and skillfully handling employment law matters in New Jersey (and New York preferred) for both employers and employees, including counseling, negotiating, mediating, and litigating
  • Be a self-starter, quick learner, and highly motivated
  • Have a solid ability to work both independently and with a team in the office as well as remotely, as necessary
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic with high standards for quality of work and integrity; and
  • Be compassionate, personable, and professional when interacting with clients, colleagues, and co-workers

Compensation
$85,000 - $107,400 yearly
