We are Jarvis Law. These are just a few things we are looking for in our newest team member as a Trusts & Estates Attorney. Due to growth, we are adding a new role to our team. 

We are an elder law and estate planning law firm with offices in Dublin, Lancaster, and St. Clairsville, Ohio. This role will most likely be based in our Dublin office but potentially could work from our Lancaster office as well. For the right candidate, this role may potentially be considered hybrid- 4 days in the office and 1 from home on Fridays.

This is a great role for an experienced attorney who truly thrives meeting with potential clients, getting them to sign on as clients, and then designing a customized plan for clients to meet their long-term care needs.

You do not need to do any cold calling or community outreach in this role. We have other team members that handle that!

As an experienced Attorney at our firm, you will have the opportunity to be in client meetings the majority of the day helping to understand client needs, listen and empathize with them and then design an estate plan that meets those needs.

What you will do in a nutshell:

• Conduct client design and funding meetings approximately 75% of the time
• Ensure proper workflow, review drafted documents, and help make sure client files stay on track with the team, internal meetings, etc. about 25% of the time
• Meet with clients displaying care, empathy, and listening skills; you have Amazing interpersonal and rapport-building skills in addition to being super knowledgeable in estate planning and elder law
• Get clients to move forward and collect deposits, as they have already had an initial meeting with the firm
• Ensure compliance with established systems and procedures
• You are a coach and mentor, as you will work very closely with a drafting paralegal
• If you like marketing, you may have the opportunity to help facilitate potential client seminars and workshops, but this is not a necessity in this role

The basic qualifications we're looking for include:

• JD with current license in good standing in Ohio
• 3-5 years of related estate planning and elder experience preferred but NOT required
